AI-assisted video production

We use AI to multiply real footage, never to fake a property. Your rooms, your pool, your sunrise — then AI handles the cutting, captioning, voiceover and language versions that would otherwise cost weeks of editing.

Where AI genuinely helps

  • Auto-cutting long footage into dozens of short-form edits
  • Captions and subtitles in English, German, French and Russian
  • Natural voiceover for offer and seasonal videos
  • Rapid variant testing for paid social creative

The line we hold

No AI-generated rooms, views or guests. A guest who arrives to something that does not match the video leaves a one-star review, and that costs more than the edit saved.

Turning one filming day into a year of content

The economics of hotel video used to be brutal for independent properties. A production day produced one polished film, editing was expensive and slow, and by the time the second round of edits was quoted, the budget was gone. The result is the situation most Sri Lankan hotels are in: a single three-minute film from several years ago, on the homepage, watched by almost nobody, and nothing at all for social.

AI-assisted editing changes that arithmetic rather than the filming itself. The same day of real footage — rooms, breakfast service, the pool at first light, the walk to the beach, the drive up through the tea — becomes the raw material for dozens of short vertical edits, each cut for a different platform, angle and audience, with captions and language versions that would previously have been separate line items.

Practically, that means a property can post consistently without filming constantly. A quarterly shoot day plus AI-assisted editing sustains a weekly posting rhythm on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, keeps paid social supplied with fresh creative variants, and gives you something new for the offers you send by email.

Where AI genuinely adds value, and where it does not

AI is useful for the parts of video work that are laborious rather than creative: finding usable takes inside hours of footage, cutting to a rhythm, generating caption files, translating and subtitling for German, French and Russian-speaking source markets, producing clean voiceover for seasonal and offer videos, and generating dozens of variants of the same ad so the platform can find the one that works.

It is not useful for deciding what to film, how a property should feel on screen, or which moment of the day makes a room look like somewhere you want to wake up. Those judgements come from having stood in the space. AI applied without that judgement produces technically competent video that looks like everyone else's — which is the opposite of the problem a distinctive property is trying to solve.

There is also a hard practical limit: AI cannot invent footage of your property. Generated rooms, invented views and synthetic guests are a category of mistake with a direct commercial cost, and we do not do it.

Localising video for Sri Lanka's source markets

  • Subtitled versions for German, French and Russian-speaking travellers, who often watch without sound
  • Separate cuts emphasising what each market actually asks about — surf, safari, tea country, wellness, family space
  • Voiceover variants for offer and seasonal videos without re-recording
  • Vertical, square and landscape exports so nothing is cropped badly on the platform it runs on
  • Short six-second and fifteen-second cuts for paid social, alongside the longer organic edits

Common questions

Can AI create hotel videos without filming the property?

It can generate video, but it should not be used that way for a hotel. A guest who books based on rooms or views that do not exist arrives disappointed and leaves a review that costs far more than the production saved. We use AI to edit, caption, translate and multiply real footage of your property, never to fabricate it.

How much footage does one shoot day produce?

A well-planned day at a typical Sri Lankan property yields enough material for a short property film, a walk-through per room category, and a substantial library of short vertical clips — enough to sustain regular social posting and supply paid social creative for months rather than weeks.

Does AI-assisted editing look cheap or artificial?

Not when the footage is real and the creative direction is human. The AI handles selection, cutting, captioning and versioning; the decisions about what to film and how the property should feel on screen stay with people who have been on site.

Can you produce videos in languages other than English?

Yes. Subtitled and voiced versions in German, French and Russian are the ones Sri Lankan properties most often need, alongside Sinhala and Tamil for domestic campaigns. Because the base footage is the same, additional language versions cost a fraction of a separate production.

What do I actually own at the end?

The raw footage and the finished edits. Owning the archive matters, because it is what lets the next round of edits be produced without a new shoot.
