Google Ads vs Facebook Ads for hotels

This is usually the wrong question. Google captures demand that already exists; Meta creates demand that does not. Which you start with depends on whether people are already searching for what you offer.

Start with Google when

  • People search your property or town by name already
  • You need bookings within weeks, not months
  • OTAs are bidding on your brand name

Start with Meta when

  • You are new and nobody is searching for you yet
  • You need to fill a low season nobody is planning for
  • The property is visually strong and photographs well

How they combine

Meta introduces the property, Google catches the search that follows, retargeting closes the guest who hesitated. Measured separately, each channel will look worse than it is.
